They say if you can sail on Lake Mead, you can sail anywhere...

Whether its a gentle 3.5 knots or blustery 22 knots, our skilled and professional Race Committee works hard to set the best courses to ensure a fun and fair competition. Skippers and crew compete throughout the year earning points towards their fleet's Nevada Cup trophy. 

All Nevada Cup regattas are divided into two competitive classes:

  • A-Fleet for PHRF less than 150
  • B-Fleet for PHRF of 150 or greater

A Novice Fleet is open to all beginners regardless of PHRF. Novice fleet races run concurrently with all races and regattas. See the Novice Fleet page for full details.

    After the summer heat we need races in the cooler temps.  The fall series takes advantage of non-blistering air temperatures and the still warm water temperature. If you have time take a swim between races.

    Novice Fleet skippers will be assigned a experienced Skipper Coach to help you learn the ropes, including the start sequence, racing rules, and race strategies.

    Are you an experienced race skipper who would like to help new skippers develop their racing skills? Register below to be assigned a Novice Fleet boat.

    Join the Most Exciting Racing Action on Lake Mead!


    This 70-mile round trip multi-day, multi-leg, point-to-point race with an overnight stop over at the Temple Bar Marina is a club favorite. 

    This is a great event for Cruisers to tag along with the racing fleet and join the festivities on Saturday night. Most crews will fire up the BBQ for dinner and camp on their boats. Many crews will book a hotel room at the Temple Bar Resort Marina.

    Overnight docking fees are in additional to the registration fee and are payable to the Temple Bar Marina.

    Registration for all participating boats is required.
