![]() NEVADA YACHT CLUBWelcome to Nevada's Premier Sailing Club |
Become a member of the Nevada Yacht Club and enjoy year-round access to sailing, racing, social events, educational programs, and a welcoming community built around Lake Mead.
Whether you're a seasoned sailor, brand new to sailing, or simply looking for an active and friendly boating community, the Nevada Yacht Club offers real value through member-only opportunities both on and off the water.
For many members, the value of membership comes through access to events, training, club resources, and opportunities to get on the water throughout the year.
Membership Benefits
Membership Pricing
Annual membership is $200 per household and remains active for one year from the date you join. A $50 initiation fee applies to new member applications. Renewing members in good standing do not pay the initiation fee.
Each household membership may include up to two household members. Both household members receive membership access and benefits, including member-only events, directory access, and forums. Each household membership includes one vote on club business.
After joining, you can add your second household member from your Account Setup page by clicking the View Profile link at the top of the page.
No Boat? No Problem.
One of the best benefits of membership is that you do not need to own a sailboat to participate. Members can get on the water through club activities, racing opportunities, training programs, and access to club boats.
Qualified members may charter our club sailboat, NYC2, a Catalina 22 equipped with an outboard motor, tiller steering, and roller furling headsail, for only $50 per day. Members may also have access to club dinghies such as Lasers and Sabots.
What Members Can Do
Racing
Members can participate in a variety of races hosted throughout the year, including opportunities for novice racers and developing sailors. Racing is one of the fastest ways to build sailing skills while learning from experienced members.
Cruising
Members enjoy organized raft-ups, cruises, moonlight sails, and popular overnight trips such as Temple Bar cruises. These events combine time on the water with community and fun.
Social Events
Membership also includes access to a lively social calendar with happy hours, seasonal gatherings, holiday events, general meetings, and other club activities designed to help members connect.
Education and Skill Building
The club supports safe and confident boating through beginning sailing instruction, water safety education, and racing development opportunities.
Women in Sailing
Our Women in Sailing committee hosts women-focused events and seminars that create additional opportunities for learning, participation, and community.
A Community Built Around Sailing
The Nevada Yacht Club has more than 60 years of history and is a community built around sailing, boating safety, friendship, volunteering, and active participation on Lake Mead and in Southern Nevada.
On-water activities typically begin at Lake Mead Marina (490 Horsepower Cove, Boulder City, NV 89005), and general meetings are typically held in Las Vegas.
