  10:30am - Meet on patio for Skipper's Briefing and boat assignments

  11:00am - Depart marina for cruising

  1:00pm - Rendezvous for raft-up and eat drink and be merry!

  Current Members

  Want to participate but don't have a sailboat? The Nevada Yacht Club will attempt to match "non-crew members" with Skippers who can accommodate extra crew.  Non-crew members will be placed on a waitlist. Preference will be given to new NYC members. Confirmation of your spot on a boat will be emailed to you the week of the event. The Nevada Yacht Club will attempt to accommodate all participation requests, however, the number of available non-crew member spots is based on the number of spots offered by participating skippers.

  This is a "bring-your-own-booze" event. If you choose to drink, please do so responsibly. Each Skipper has the final say in what happens on their vessel. Please be respectful.

  Learn the sign-up, sign-out, and sign-in process, and the expectations for Club-boat use. Be prepared to demonstrate your sailing ability, including operation of the boat and docking procedures.

  Please note that this is not a sail training day.

  When Fred's son was killed, he scheduled an annual race in his memory near Memorial Day Weekend and a full moon. Fred was not only a wonderful contributor to the club but to the Southern Nevada community as a whole.  After Fred passed the race was renamed the Darling Memorial race in both their honor.  This two day one leg race runs 68 to 72 miles overnight starting and finishing near Boulder Island. Scheduled near a full moon.

  Join the Most Exciting Racing Action on Lake Mead!

  
  

  This 70-mile round trip multi-day, multi-leg, point-to-point race with an overnight stop over at the Temple Bar Marina is a club favorite. 

  This is a great event for Cruisers to tag along with the racing fleet and join the festivities on Saturday night. Most crews will fire up the BBQ for dinner and camp on their boats. Many crews will book a hotel room at the Temple Bar Resort Marina.

  Overnight docking fees are in additional to the registration fee and are payable to the Temple Bar Marina.

  Registration for all participating boats is required.

  Cup Fleet points count towards the Commodore's Cup.
