Join Us In Welcoming Our New Members

Let's have some fun sailing and getting to know one another out on the water on FLOATILLA 2023 #1!

WHO: All boat owners big and small, club members and especially new members!

WHAT: Sailing for a couple of hours and then in the middle of the lake we'll drop our sails at a predetermined water location, hook up to each other boats, to make one big honking fun Floatilla (aka raft up). 

Each person should bring a main dish or appetizer to share with everyone on their assigned sailboat... Impress you skippers with your food ;) (Your Cruise Captain Harlan will have boat assignments the day before the event). Games or contests could happen for NYC swag!

WHEN: Saturday Feb 25th 10:30am - 3pm out of Lake Mead Marina

WHY: Cuz it's FUN!

Planned Schedule

10:30am - Meet on patio for Skipper's Briefing and boat assignments

11:00am - Depart marina for cruising

1:00pm - Rendezvous for Floatilla pot-luck lunch* (provided by all crew members)

3:00pm - End of official activities

*Beverages will be provided (non-alcoholic).

Skippers/Boat Owners

Skippers, we need your help in welcoming as many new and current members as possible. In addition to your regular crew, we humbly ask that you volunteer any extra space that you may have on your boat to members hoping to participate in this event. NYC will match Skippers with "non-crew members" through a separate registration type. Thank you in advance for welcoming our members!

Current Members

Want to participate but don't have a sailboat? The Nevada Yacht Club will attempt to match "non-crew members" with Skippers who can accommodate extra crew.  Non-crew members will be placed on a waitlist. Preference will be given to new NYC members. Confirmation of your spot on a boat will be emailed to you the week of the event. The Nevada Yacht Club will attempt to accommodate all participation requests, however, the number of available non-crew member spots is based on the number of spots offered by participating skippers.

This is a "bring-your-own-beer" event. If you choose to drink, please do so responsibly. Each Skipper has the final say in what happens on their vessel. Please be respectful.
