Can I rent a sailboat?
Nevada Yacht Club is a 501c3 tax exempt organization. Our charter is education. We do not have the resources to rent boats to the public. Lake Mead National Recreation Area is federal controlled resource. If you wish to see the lake from a nice professional tour see:

Remember, Styrofoam and glass are never allowed in the park. Thank you for keeping your park clean and trash free.
Here are some of the logistics of renting sail boat for the club.
If there is a business the park service charges 1200 per year fees to use public resources.
About $250 per month in slip fees if the rental boat is at the marina in a slip.
Increased insurance fees and legal risk.
We have to have someone to drive to lake mead to do orientation and proficiency evaluation.
Someone has to make sure the boat is clean and in operating condition after the sail.
Maintenance of the boat includes bottom cleaning about $75.00 per month.

Can I UBER to the Lake?
The park service has told me UBER can operate in Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The passenger will have to pay the $25.00 entry fee. The pass is good for seven days. UBER drivers can enter the park to pickup passengers for no charge.

Do you have a clubhouse?
Lake Mead National Recreation Area is a public resource. We cannot build a clubhouse on Park Service land. We meet for general membership at a restaurant across from the South Coast Casino. On race day we meet on the patio at Lake Mead Marina. When social cruising we meet at the patio at the marina.

When is sail training?
Nevada Yacht Club gives sail training twice a year. Once in the spring and once in the fall. Please look at the "Sail Training" and "Calendar" pages for more information.
